At Gericó Associates, we are clearly committed to knowledge. What´s more, we are committed to bringing value through knowledge. We believe that transfering our “know-how” to other firms can create situations which are benefitial for both parties. Therefore, as with our `knowledge leadership´ initiatives, with the Latin American legal forums we seek to create an environment in which knowledge can be shared through our team and expert guests in the subject matter, in order to approach the whole nuances of a subject with precision and an open mind.

In keeping up with our slogan, `New times, new law firms´, we believe that new law firms must face these new times with an open and anticipatory perspective, aware of the previous experiences of other firms, market trends, and ultimately the reality of their competitive environment at a national, regional and global level.

Since its creation, we have always sought to transfer, thanks to these spaces, the best practices that we observe at an international level, but always filtering them taking into account the reality of each jurisdiction in which the forum is held.

Our Latin American legal forums are a stop along the way, a thought-provoking strategic event for guests, who make a pause in their demanding routine by addressing the aspects necessary for the growth of their firms from a theoretical and practical perspective, always enriched by the subsequent debate.

This initiative arose as a result of the success of the first International Legal Marketing Conference held at the Hilton Hotel in Lima (Peru) in 2016. Just one year later, in 2017, we held our first Latin American Legal Forum and by 2019 we had seven editions.

These forums have addressed a very diverse range of topics from the growth of firms in Latin America through mergers, to new trends in pricing and AFAs (Alternative Fee Arrangements), through processes in a firm, new trends in legal areas of companies, international directories, innovation, LegalTech or in-house lawyers, among many other topics of interest.
